Toni Rae Vann of High Rolls, NM passed away at the age of 72 on January 17, 2022 in Alamogordo after dealing with COPD for many years.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Pinon Cemetery with Odie Prather officiating.
Pallbearers include David Vann, Cody Goslin, Cody Skinner, Junior Harris, Mike Gaba, and Alton Munson.
Toni was born June 5, 1949 to Irving and Lessie Porter in Artesia, New Mexico. She Graduated from Weed High School in 1967 and attended ENMU-Roswell, and New Mexico State University. She lived in Oro Grande for several years and worked in El Paso, and then at Oro Grande Range Camp. In 1980, her son and love of her life, Jeremy Rowe, was born.
Toni married Carroll Vann on June 5, 2002 after meeting him through her job at White Sands Missile Range. Toni had a life-long love of reading, family, animals (especially dogs), and hunting artifacts in the desert.
Toni is survived by her husband, Carroll of their home in High Rolls, NM; son, Jeremy Rowe of Los Angeles, CA; Laura and Junior Harris of High Rolls, NM; David and Candy Vann of High Rolls, NM; sister, Cindy (Drew) Goslin of Pinon, NM; niece, Tara (Cody) Skinner of Artesia, NM; nephew, Cody (Shandra) Goslin; granddaughters, Kodie and Morgan Harris, Rebecca Vann and great granddaughter Scarlett Quiroz.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Lessie Porter and more dogs than we can list.
The Vann family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
