William "Bill" E. Bamber

William "Bill" E. Bamber, 91, of Alamogordo, passed away peacefully in his home on September 29, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillie D. (Smith) Bamber, 70 years married. Born in providence, Bill was the son of the late Edward L. and Jessie H. Bamber. 

Bill was a proud veteran, serving with the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was an avid car collector and has won many awards. Bill was a wonderful man with a heart of gold. 

Bill is survived by his stepdaughter, Gwendolyn Burroughs and her husband, Randy; his stepson, Billy Jo Burrows; his son, Ricky Jo Bamber; his sister, Donna (Bamber) Ruggieri and her husband, Alan Littmann. He leaves behind many grandchildren whom he loved dearly. 

Bill was father to the late Danny Bamber; brother to the late A. Marilyn (Bamber) Ormond, Joan H. (Bamber) Williams, Edward L. Bamber Jr., Richard J. Bamber Sr.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service to celebrate Bill at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at New Heart Cowboy Church, 1311 Galway Drive in Alamogordo.

The Bamber family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
