Tina Marie Hart

Tina Marie Hart, 61, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, in Alamogordo, NM. 

Tina was born on September 21, 1961, to Frank John Piehler II and Joyce F. Smith in Islip, New York, both of whom precede her in death. She came into this world with a caring soul and a steadfast loyalty to her friends and family.

After moving to the southwest in her mid-teens, where she graduated from Belen High School in 1979, Tina knew she wanted to serve those with special needs. This began with her work at the Training School, which was a catalyst for her to complete her bachelor’s degree in education at The University of New Mexico, in 1998. Over the next two and a half decades she was a phenomenal Special Education teacher and advocate in Los Lunas PS, Tornillo ISD, Clint ISD, San Elizario ISD, and Alamogordo PS. Her impact on these communities is immeasurable and to the very end she was an inspiration to all of the emerging minds she encountered. 

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Valerie J. Hart, Rachelle Hart-Montalvo, Levi Hart; her doting grandchildren, Estrella, Arelee, Anabessa, Ezequiel, Marisol. She is also survived by her steadfast siblings, Cindy Woznick and husband Bill, Jo Line, Frank Piehler III, Belinda Gonzalez and husband Rick, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and colleagues. 
 
Tina will always be known for her generous heart and fierce love. May we all continue her proud legacy. 

The Celebration of Life for Tina Hart will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Worship Center, 801 E 10th St, Alamogordo, NM.
