Sonja Wilson-Mitchell, 61, passed away on July 15, 2018 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on December 23, 1956 in Washington, DC to Milton and Naomi (Lee) Coles.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Mitchell of the family home; her daughter, Eboni (John) Britton of San Antonio, TX; three sons, Odell Wilson of San Diego, CA, Kaleb Mitchell and Kahlil Mitchell of Alamogordo, NM; brother, Mark Anthony Coles of Washington, DC; sister, Bernadell (Carlon) Rogers of San Diego, CA; and loving nephew, Shay Coles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Naomi Coles.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, July 20, 2018 at New Zion Baptist Church.

The funeral service for Sonja Wilson-Mitchell will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 20, 2018 at New Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Willard Avery officiating.

Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

The Wilson-Mitchell family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
