Robert (Bob) Coate

Robert (Bob) Coate, 78, of Alamogordo, NM passed away peacefully at the family home on December 3, 2025. Bob was the first born of William and Donna Coate in Ames, Iowa on July 10, 1947.  

Bob experienced many places growing up as his father was in the military. Bob graduated from Tustin High School in 1965. He then served 4 years with the Navy.  When in Cleveland, OH with the navy, he met his wife, Marlene, and they were married on November 7, 1970. They moved to California to start their life together. Bob graduated from California State University Fullerton with a degree in finance. In 1985, Bob relocated his family to Alamogordo, NM. 

Bob’s wife, Marlene, precedes him in death. He is survived by his children, Lori Adam of Alamogordo and Randall Coate of Highlands Ranch, CO and their families.

The Memorial Service for Robert Coate will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home.

The Coate family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
