Robert T Lopez

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Robert T. Lopez, lifelong resident of Tularosa, NM passed away peacefully at the age of 73. Robert and the love of his life, Irene Lopez, made their life together and raised 5 children. Robert retired after 23 years of service in the Army National Guard. Robert worked 11 years as a police officer in the City of Tularosa, NM. He retired from the Inn of the Mountain Gods after 25 years of service. 

He is proceeded in death by the love of his life, Irene Lopez and his parents, Albert and Ruth Lopez.

He is survived by his daughter, Yvette Aragon and husband Lorenzo; son, Robert Jr; son, Albert and wife Michele; daughter, Rebecca; daughter, Jennifer and Ben; partner, Yolonda Saenz; 18 grandkids and 26 great grandkids; brothers, Albert (Helen), Peter (Mary), James (Adria), Tony; twin sisters, Josie (Gilbert) and Diane; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Services for Robert Lopez will be held at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church, 303 Encino, Tularosa, NM 88352.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, with Mass celebrated at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Gabriel Aragon, Ryan Davis, Andrew Davis, Angel Shuman, Robert Lopez III, Daniel Lopez, Tyler Hadwin, Santino Rojo, and Joshua Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughters: Christine Aragon, Cynthia Aragon, Angela Aragon, Nikole Matinzo, Natalia Duran, Lili Lopez, Elizabeth Lopez, Lexi Urquidez, Alysia Shuman, and Janyssa Shuman.

The Lopez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
