Rafael S Peña

Our beloved Daddy, Rafael S Peña, 85, went home to be with our Lord Jesus on June 25, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1938, in Glencoe, NM to Teodoro and Telesfora Peña. He is preceded in passing by his parents; by his beloved wife, Edovigen Peña; his son, Ralph Dean Peña; his daughter, Zandra Dee Peña. He is survived by his two sons, Chris Peña and Joe Peña; grandsons, Chris Peña jr., Josh Peña, Paul Baca, Isaiah Baca; granddaughters, Chelsea Schaefer and Christiana Baca.

I believe my dad can say as in 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there's laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, not me only, but unto all that have loved his appearing."   My dad loved looking for Jesus' promised appearing. The last words I heard him say was " thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, " over and over.

I believe Jesus told him when he entered heaven Matthew 25: 23 "well done, good and faithful servant, thou have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter thou into the joy of the Lord. "

My dad was a good servant of our Lord Jesus. God has promised in 2 Corinthians 5: 8 "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" with Jesus.  How do I know this? John 3: 16-18 "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God. " Also, John 11: 25- 26. Jesus said, " I am the resurrection and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die, beleiveth thou this? "  

My dad believed on the Lord Jesus, he is now with Jesus, and with my mom and brother and sister and all who have gone before him I love you daddy, momma, my brother, and sister, we will see you again as God has promised in 1 Thessalonians 4: 14- 18 "for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God Bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words."  

We will see you again daddy, with mom, Ralph, and Zandra and all that have gone home before us. Even so come Lord Jesus, in John 14 Jesus said he goes to prepare a place for us, and he will come to receive us unto himself that were he is, so shall we be with him. 
  
I love you daddy, I love you momma, I love you Ralph and Zandra, most of all I love you Jesus, and I thank you they are all with you and you keep the rest of us for the day you receive us. AMEN!
