Paula Alonzo Gallegos Edgar

Paula Alonzo Gallegos Edgar, a lifelong resident of Alamogordo, NM, entered into rest on June 3, 2022. She was born on January 2, 1947 to Ruben and Senovia Gallegos. 

Paula is survived by her children, Beverly (Paul) Reynolds of Alamogordo, James (Esther) Edgar of Lubbock, TX, Carol Salcido (Kenny G Hinojosa) of Alamogordo, and Patrick Edgar of Las Cruces; brother, Ruben Gallegos of Alamogordo; sisters, Virginia Gallegos of Alamogordo and Demecia Roybal of Santa Fe; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Senovia Gallegos; brother, Solomon Gallegos; sisters, Ernestina Caldwell and Mary Smith; niece, Twila Morales.

Paula passed away very peacefully at Casa Arena Nursing Home in Alamogordo, NM surrounded by her loved ones. We would like to say a special "Thank you" to the staff that made it possible for Paula's loved ones to be with her as she made her journey home.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Mountain View Church on Cuba Avenue with Pastor Anthony Torres officiating. The family requests that you wear purple in Paula's honor, as it was her favorite color.

After the service, a celebration potluck will be held at the church for family and friends.

Paula's family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home and Mountain View Church with Pastor Anthony Torres.
