Norma Palomino Obituary

Norma Jean Palomino ascended to Heaven on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

To take this powerful force of Norma Jean Palomino and condense it to simple words couldn’t possibly do her justice.  Nothing meant more to her than FAMILY and she will forever be larger than life to all of us that our ANGEL is now watching over. She was a tower of strength, resilience, determination, an absolute fearless and compassionate advocate for her family. This woman embodied her divine faith, lived it with her husband, instilled it in all of her children, and shared it with every life she touched. Ask anyone who came into her home, she made them feel like family as well.

Her solid foundation started by being raised on a farm as a devoted daughter of Fred and Ava Brown and sister of her beloved brother, Louie.  She served in the Air Force, was an accountant, worked for the Forest Service for many years, all while being the BEST MOM EVER! She played a beautiful piano and shared her love of music with everyone, including directing her church choirs. There was always music in our home, what a cherished gift. Her soul, her life was a symphony!

HER LEGACY WAS HER IMMEASUREABLE LOVE OF HER FAMILY. Her husband, Antonio C. Palomino; her children, Carmen Laura (Ron), Suzan Jean, Robert Anthony (Angela), Christine (Jimmy), Alicia JoAnn, and Raquel. She adored her 23 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She also dearly loved her extended family in Indiana of her brothers’ children and her husband Tony’s family from Mexico of his sisters’ children.

So many people loved our Mom, Norma, and her incredible strength paired with her sense of humor. We can hear her now, up in heaven, telling us not only how magnificent it is up there, how lovely to be joined with the FATHER, her parents, her brother, and many other loved ones. She’s also saying, “When you get up here with me someday, I’m going to box your ears, you mangey varmint!”

…we can’t wait, Mom. We love and miss you so much, more than words can EVER say!
