Michael Dean Fladhammer

Michael Dean Fladhammer, 55, passed away on October 15, 2025.

Mike was born on April 13, 1970, in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He later attended De Soto High School, where he began building the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion. After high school, he went on to study mechanics, a successful calling that followed him throughout his life. 

Mike was a proud father of four children, Kali, Tiana, Corey, and Autumn. He was a devoted dad who raised his family in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and took great pride in being there for his children every step of the way. He was later blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Eli, Aubrey, and Asher, who brought him immense joy.
 
Later in life, Mike married Danyel Smith and relocated to New Mexico. There, he continued to build his legacy and soon opened his award-winning business, Hammered Out Garage. He was widely recognized in Alamogordo, New Mexico for his exceptional mechanical skills. From refurbishing classic cars to making sure vehicles were safe and road-ready, Mike, known by many as "Flad", was respected for his honesty, craftsmanship, and unwavering dedication. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. 

Mike had a deep love for music and enjoyed a wide range of genres. He attended many concerts throughout his life and was always ready for a good time. His absolute favorite was Hank Williams Jr. 

Mike will be remembered for his big heart, goofy sense of humor, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. His presence, laughter, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and a family that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.
