Melvin Glen Rogers

Melvin Glen Rogers was born on March 9, 1933 in Inglewood, Cal­ifornia. He was 88 years old when he went home to be with our Lord on June 14, 2021 at his home in Tularosa, New Mexico.

Melvin graduated from Dinuba Height School in California in 1951 and joined the Air Force. He worked Nortrop Aircraft as a mechanic, General Dynamic, Lockheed Martin on the F-16. He traveled to Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Holland, Tur­key, and Korea for his job.

He married his wife, Bpoo (Jirawat) in Thai­land in 1979. He adopt­ed her two boys to be his sons, Kak and Chat Rogers. Kak has a daughter, Sarah, and 3 grand­children. Chat has 2 daughters, Jackie and Emma, and 3 grandchildren. Melvin had a granddaughter, Patsy Montoya and a grandson, Jeremey Lopez. Melvin had 20 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchil­dren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sarah Rogers, his brothers, Bruce, Lynn, Herbert Jr., Milton; and his sisters Delphine and Marge. They have all gone to heaven.

Melvin loved to grow many kinds of vegetables and sell them at the Farmer’s Market in Tularosa. He also did a lot of wood craft as his hobby.

The family has entrusted Alamogordo Funeral Home with their loved one. 

Services will be held at Christ Community Church, 2960 Scenic Drive, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, with Pastor Timothy J. Brock officiating.
