Maureen (Myers) McGee

Maureen McGee of Boles Acres, New Mexico was released from earthly trials on Sunday afternoon, May 23rd, 2021 at the age of 70.

Maureen was born on January 26, 1951 in Miami, AZ to Maurice and Kathleen (Foster) Myers.  On August 26, 1970, she married Ralph Daniel McGee. They raised two daughters, Gille and Amy and son, Ben in southern Colorado, then moved to Alamogordo in 2006. She was very passionate and caring, a person of true dignity. She loved puzzles and word games, and was a Scrabble player of unparalleled talent. She was an unpublished artist with a true insight into the human character. She loved what was honest and plain-spoken.

Maureen was preceded in death by parents, Maurice and Kathleen. She is survived by husband, Ralph; sister, Melanie; children, Gillie, Amy and Ben; grandchildren, Hallie, Maggie, Caleb, and Marcus.

A non-denominational remembrance reception will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Grace United Methodist Church Parlor, 1206 Greenwood Lane. In lieu of donations or flowers, gifts should be made to a local animal shelter.
