Mary E. Payne

Mary E. Payne, 89, passed away peaceful in her home on September 12, 2024, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on February 9, 1935, in Bates City, Missouri to SJ and Margaret (Smith) Bozarth.

She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of Amaranth. She worked at the Senior Center for many years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Alamogordo. 

Survivors include her brother, Fred Bozarth of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Linda Payne; three sons, Bobbie (Peggy) Payne Jr., Jacobia (Teresa) Payne and Bryan Payne all of Alamogordo, NM; 10 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, SJ and Margaret Bozarth; husband, Bobbie Lee Payne Sr.; son, Marty Payne.

A graveside service for Mary Payne will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Monte Vista Cemetery.

The Payne family welcomes all that would like to attend. 

Pallbearers include Tom Woods, Dean Clay, Darrell Akres, Shawn Dunagan,Thomas Mc Donough, and Brandin Baxter. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Willits and Tim Shelton. 
 
The Payne family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
