Mary Janice Grimes

Mary Janice Grimes of Alamogordo, NM was taken home on August 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Mary was born in Fairfax, VA on October 23, 1941, to C.E. and Rosa Wolfrey, one of 12 children.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and 3 brothers. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, retired MSgt. Jerry Lee Grimes; son, Ronnie Grimes and wife Linda of Alamogordo; granddaughter, Meghan Sangiacomo and two great grandsons, Easton and Sage of Anchorage, AK; grandson, Matthew Grimes of Alamogordo; granddaughter, Emilee Trinkle and her husband Jeff and great granddaughter, Rylee of Alamogordo.

Mary enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved being a homemaker and decorating her home for all seasons and holidays, especially Christmas. She loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherwoman for many years. Most of all, Mary deeply loved and completely doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed.
