Marlene Marie (Bidlenchik) Coate

Marlene Marie (Bidlenchik) Coate, 74, of Alamogordo, NM passed on October 15, 2023, in Alamogordo.  Marlene was born in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Emily (Rice) Bidlenchik, both deceased.  She graduated high school from Saint John Cantius in 1967.  

Marlene began her career at the New Federal Building where she met her husband, Robert Coate.  They were married November 7, 1970.  Marlene loved the Coate family as her own.  Bob and Marlene started their life together in California.  The family moved to Alamogordo in 1985.  Marlene served Alamogordo Public Schools through her retirement and was a pillar of Oregon Elementary, serving as secretary for over 25 years.  She enjoyed the many students, families and professionals she worked with, as she loved to talk to just about everyone she met.  

Marlene is survived by her husband, Robert Coate; her daughter, Lori and husband Brad Adam of Alamogordo and children, Gordon and Dylan; her son, Randall Coate and wife Danielle of Highlands Ranch, CO and children, Davis and Amelia.

A service of remembrance will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 20, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First Street, Alamogordo, NM.

The Coate family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
