Marcelino (Mark) L. Esquero, 76

Mark Esquero went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 76 on Saturday, July 4, 2020. Mark was born on September 1, 1943 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Jesus Sr. and Anita Esquero.  

Mark has been a lifelong resident and retired from Civil Service HAFB, where he was employed for 20 years and retired in 2004.  Mark received his Associates Degree from New Mexico State University of Alamogordo also attended and graduated from Barber School.  Mark will be remembered for the love of all sports, free spirited nature who loved to dance, and inviting the neighborhood friends of his children while growing up in Alta Vista for cookouts and just slicing up some watermelon or cantaloupe.       

Mark is survived by his daughter and two sons; Bernadine (Esquero) Lowery and husband Jerry Lowery, grandchildren Heather Ann Lowery and Tyler Jacob Lowery, great grandchildren Liam Patton Smalley and Violet Margaret Bell all of Mount Independence, Pennsylvania, and two sons, Mark Esquero Jr. and wife Kym Esquero, grandchildren Celina Esquero, Alyxander Esquero, Monique Torres, Ryan Ramer, and great grandchild Sabastian Ramer; son Fabian Esquero and wife Lorna Esquero, grandchildren Mia Esquero and Alyssa Esquero all of Alamogordo.  

Mark is survived by two brothers and four sisters; Jesus Esquero Jr. and wife Ramona Esquero, Juan Esquero and wife Lydia Esquero; sisters Dolores Esquero of Alamogordo, Teresa Rios of Tucson, AZ, Anita Holbrook and husband Steve Holbrook of Puyallup, WA, Estella Sarka and husband Andor Sarka of Terrell, TX.  Mark is survived by several nieces, nephews, especially his nephew and best friend Charles Esquero, several grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.  Mark was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Esquero, granddaughter Bibianna Esquero and his parents Jesus Esquero Sr. and Anita L. Esquero.

The memorial service for Mark Esquero will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 14, 2020 at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mariano Melendrez officiating.

Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
