Margaret Wissler Estep Obituary

Margaret Louise Wissler Estep, daughter of Jane and Ross Wissler, formerly of Abilene, Texas passed away due to complications related to hip replacement surgery on March 30, 2021. She enjoyed a wonderful life with her loving husband, Keith Estep; her stepdaughter, Tambra Esquibel; son-in-law, Sam; and her two grandsons, Corbin and Maxx. She is also survived by many intriguing, talented and supportive extended family and friends whom she loved and for whom she was always grateful.

After earning a Bachelor's Degree in education from Trinity University and a Master's Degree in counseling from Southwest Texas State University, Louise spent 37 years as an educator, teaching English and home economics before becoming a high school guidance counselor. She loved her students for they brought her great joy.

Louise's favorite activity was duplicate bridge for which she was an accredited teacher and director. Louise and Keith played bridge five days a week and enjoyed traveling to tournaments all over the country.

Louise will be cremated and a memorial ceremony will be planned at a later date.

The Estep family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
