Lorenzo Amador-Maynez

Lorenzo Amador-Maynez, 62, of Alamogordo, NM passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, following a courageous battle with Gastric Adenocarcinoma Cancer. Born on July 21, 1962, in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico. Lorenzo was the cherished son of Fransisca Amador-Maynez and Jose Maynez, and Catalina Amador who preceded him in death. 

A devoted father and grandfather, Lorenzo took immense pride and joy in providing for his beloved family. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Maynez, Maria J. Saldana-Maynez, and Alicia Maynez; his brothers, Conrad Amador and Jose Amador-Maynez; sisters, Sabina Amador-Maynez, Esther Amador-Maynez-Cosper, and Isela Amador; as well as ten grandchildren whom he adored deeply. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his brothers, Inez Amador and Johnny Maynez. 

Known as a devoted and loyal employee, Lorenzo dedicated eight years of his career to the Meat Standard Factory where his hard work and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends. Lorenzo was a loving, caring, big hearted, outgoing person who found simple joys in life, whether it was spending time at the arcade, exploring the mall, or staying active through workout sessions, and he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. His greatest pride, however, came in the form of his beloved grandchildren, each of whom filled his heart with much joy and happiness.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Eben-Ezer Church, 1002 Rose Ave., Alamogordo, NM 88310. The Viewing will be held at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am officiated by Pastor Jose Garcia. Burial Service will follow at 12:00 pm at Monte Vista Cemetery, 1590 E. 1st Street, Alamogordo, NM. 
The family has asked to wear all black or Dallas Cowboys attire. 

Pallbearers include Angle Maynez, Jose F. Maynez, Baldemar Contreras, Chris Madril, Isaiah Maynez, and Tysen Derilo. 

The Amador-Maynez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
