Linda Lee Taylor passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on May 27, 1950, in Alamogordo, NM.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, T.A. Tanner and Ruth (Lewis) Tanner as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, Bill Taylor of Pinon, NM; her daughter, Ellie Taylor of Pinon, NM; sister-in-law, Jeanie Groves and husband Jim of Las Cruces, NM; niece, Paula Groves of Las Cruces, NM; great nieces, Jordyn and Morgyn Gallegos; uncle, Harvey Lewis as well a several cousins.
Linda attended Weed High School where she was a top soprano in their high school choir. She loved to sing and was a song leader in the Pinon Baptist Church for many years. Linda was a very good artist and could draw and paint wonderful pictures of horses, cattle, people, and landscapes. In addition to painting, she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, wood burning, sewing, and weaving. In 1972, Linda married her husband Bill Taylor and they lived in the Pinon area where they had a sheep and cattle ranch. She enjoyed hiking in the pasture and checking up on the livestock.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Monte Vista Cemetery with Brother Wayne Brazil officiating.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include Odie Prather, Alvie Smith, Jason Brunson, Innis Lewis, Frank Mathis, Jim Groves, Jack Coupland, John Bell, Rick Kniepkamp, and Paul Kniepkamp.
The Taylor family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
