Leonard L. "Rusty" Miller passed peacefully on March 26, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family. We are comforted to know that he is home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Rusty was born July 15, 1952, in Albuquerque, NM. The family moved to Alamogordo, NM in 1956. Rusty was raised in Alamogordo and graduated from newly built Alamogordo High School in 1970. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1975 and was honorably discharged in 1980. Upon his discharge, he returned to Alamogordo and worked as a Janitor at Chaparral Middle School and Alamogordo High School retiring in 2010. Rusty lived his life in accordance with the golden rule. Those who knew Rusty knew him to be a humble man who followed Jesus to the best of his ability. Rusty was young at heart; he loved his family and always made those around him laugh.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, John I. and Arlone Miller.
He is survived by his four siblings, Denise Scherer and husband Tony, Jan Eves and husband Kent, Sandy Krall and husband Tom, Charlie Miller and wife Julie; his eight nieces and nephews, Steven Scherer, David Scherer, Christina Eves, Joseph Krall, John Krall, Renee Weaver, Zackery Miller, and Kira Holloway.
Services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, April 24, 2023, at Christ Community Church. Please come and celebrate his life with us.
