LaTanya Nikole Hawkins

LaTanya Nikole Hawkins, 44, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on September 23, 1981, to Wendell J Lang and William A Chambers. 

LaTanya was a freelance writer and sold books to support her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family prior to becoming ill with kidney disease. She fought the disease for over 2 years. 

LaTanya was proceeded in death by her husband, Tyrone Hawkins. 

Survivors include her two children, daughter, Imani (10), and son, Lyndon (13), of Alamogordo, NM; mother, Wendell Lang of Alamogordo, NM; father, William Chambers of Amherst, VA; three sisters; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
