Mrs. Josephine L. Paine departed to be with our Lord on May 4, 2026, after a brief illness, stay in the hospital, and nursing care home in El Paso. She was born to Joe and Margaret Saenz on September 5, 1935, in Bent, New Mexico. Raised in Bent, she attended and graduated from Tularosa High School in Tularosa, New Mexico. Later she retired with the Civil Service at Holloman AFB.  During her work career, she met and married Robert Paine, from Iowa, who was in the Air Force at Holloman at that time.
 
Jospephine was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Joe Saenz; a younger sibling, named Billy, at a very young age; younger brother, Joe M. Saenz; her husband, Robert Paine.

She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Jane Marrujo of Fallon, Nevada, Helen Brusuelas of Albuquerque, NM, Ruby Anderson of Alamogordo, NM, Ben Saenz of Las Cruces, NM, Donald Saenz and his wife, Karen of Bent, NM, Margareg Skaggs of Tularosa, NM, Diana Finley of Tularosa, NM; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor her wishes and privacy, there will not be any services or visits planned. Her wishes were to be cremated will lie with Alamogordo Funeral Home in Alamogordo, NM with interment of ashes in the family plot in Bent for immediate family attending a private ceremony.

The Paine family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
