Jose B Enrique, Warrior to the End
On Tuesday January 5, 2021 Jose B Enrique began a new journey. He passed peacefully in his home. Jose’s life was long and exceptional having been raised in the time of the Great Depression, experiencing the hard life of Philadelphia streets and entering into the military service by the age of 16.
He served our Country in WWII and the Korean War and received many awards including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He learned the art of the ancient warriors and became a recognized Master of the martial arts and taught many, many students throughout New Mexico, Maryland, and Delaware. His legacy lives on with his current students and with those students who will never forget the lessons taught by their Sensei.
Jose was a people person collecting friends and family. He is survived by his sons and daughters; Jose R Enrique of Delaware, Maria Hodges of New Mexico, Juan M Enrique of Delaware, Angelina Enrique of South Dakota, Craig J Bates of Pennsylvania, Phyllis Gove of Florida, Charles Hammer of Maryland, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jose loved this Country and his family and friends and was proud to have served each in his own way. Warrior to the End.
