Joli Fay (Larkins) Lee, 69, passed peacefully after her battle with Covid-19 on February 1, 2021 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on September 24, 1951 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Ray and Lois (Willoughby) Larkins.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Chris Lee; her children, Threva and Dan Hosford, James (Gene) and Shellie Eaton, Mary (Beth) Eaton, Robyn Levy, and Michael and Dorothy Lee; three grand children, Alyson, Cynthia and Parker; and numerous step-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Lee Larkins, her mother, Lois Illene Larkins and her brothers, Michael and David.
Joli was a lifetime member of the caving community, NSS and White Sands Grotto. She was a key member of the filming of the movie “Lechuguilla” filmed in Lechuguilla cave.
Joli had a passion about educating, especially reading which led her to become the Reading Recovery Leader. She believed that reading was the cornerstone of all learning. Joli was a respected member of the local arts and crafts community. She loved to create art in silk and glass.
The Lee family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
