Johnny C. Graham was born January 7, 1948, in Louisville, Mississippi. He was the second child of seven children born to Willie and Annie Graham. When Johnny was young, his dad moved his family to Alamogordo, New Mexico to give them a better life. The first school Johnny attended was Chaparral Junior High and then attended Alamogordo High school where he completed up to the tenth grade. While in Alamogordo, he attended Owen Chapel Church under the leadership of Rev. Simon. He then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he met and married Betty Jean who proceeded him in death. In this they had four sons, Antonio, Anthony, Demetrius, and Stanley.
Johnny had a career in construction until his health challenges caused him to retire. He realized we all must give in account to the things we do whether good or bad and it is not man that we give in account too, it is the Lord. Whatever his challenges were, he must stand before the Lord because it is He that we sinned against, he is the ultimate judge.
His father, Mr. Willie Graham; son, Stanley Graham; niece, Lady Carla Thomas; nephew, Anthony Thomas; and niece, Destiny Thomas proceeded him in death.
He leaves too remember his life three sons, Antonio (Amandia) of Alamogordo, NM, Anthony and Demetirus of Atlanta GA; two brothers, Glen Graham (Delores) of Albuquerque, NM, David Graham (Evelyn) of Leesville, LA; four sisters, Betty Thomas of Ft. Smith, AR, Vernice Price (Michael), Minnie Graham, Doris Palmer (Vance) all of Los Angeles, CA; seven nieces, Teresa Davenport (Menashay) of Chicago, IL, Laura Graham of MD, Sarah Brack (Mr. Brack), Nakia Palmer, Kenya Graham all of Las Vegas, NV, Dawn Graham of Leesville, LA, Jody Graham of Los Angeles, CA; two nephews, David Graham Jr., Joseph Graham both of Leesville, LA; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of cousins and friends.
The Memorial Service for Johnny Graham will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Vernice Price officiating.
The Graham family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
