It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Joe Piedad Aragon. Son, Father, nephew, cousin, and friend who passed away on October 16, 2025.
Joe was born June 6, 1985, in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Melissa Coyazo. He was known to be a jack of all trades highly skilled in many areas. He was working at HAFB at the time of his passing. Joe took great pride in everything he did.
When he was younger, Joe was in JROTC at Onate HS which he loved so much. He was featured in the book,” Who's who amongst American high school students”. He was accepted to West Point Academy, a prestigious Military Academy. He graduated from Alamogordo HS.
Joe loved learning about history and planes. He could tell what kind of jet was in the air just by looking at them. He would impress his boys by pointing out what kind was flying, they thought he was so smart and cool. The boys say he was a body builder, Joe loved showing off his muscles. His girls thought the world of him. His baby girl and baby boy were his shadows. He was such a loving and caring father. He wanted to do everything with them and spend as much time with them as possible. His babies were the absolute loves of his life.
Joe is survived by his parents, Melissa and Ysidro Coyazo; his children, Anais, Alyssa, Easi, Antonio, and Ray Aragon; his son, Joseph Aragon; his loving brother, Anthony and Tameka Montoya; his sister, Lisa Aragon; his aunts, Brenda and Irma Montoya; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Lazer (Perla) and Uriel (Jasmine); sister-in-law, Lisa and Pablo Barraza; mother-in-law, Irma Cadena; grandma, Antonia Cadena; God parents, Richard and Christina Cardial.
He Is preceded in death by his sister, Rose Aragon; his grandfather, Frank Montoya; uncle, Franklin Montoya; uncles, Leo, Louie, and Cecilio Barraza; great grandpa, Antonio Cadena.
Joe will be greatly missed, more than words can explain. He was loved so very very much by all who knew him.
Services for Joe will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home. Viewing will be held at 5:00 pm with Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 pm.
