Joanabelle (Holcomb) Stringfield

Joanabelle Stringfield, 88, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2021 in El Paso, TX. Joan was born on February 23, 1932 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Basil and Mary Holcomb.

Joan was retired from the Alamogordo Independent School District where she taught 6th grade for 28 years. She enjoyed teaching very much. Joan also loved her retirement years living at the family ranch in Piñon, New Mexico.

Survivors include her daughter, Marykay Ecklund; sons, Herschel Stringfield, Jr. and Mike Stringfield; daughter in law, Debbie Stringfield; son in law, Tom Ecklund; her grandchildren, Ryan Satterfield, Scot Satterfield, Lindsey Calvillo, Tiffany Solot, Nathan Stringfield, and Shelbi Stringfield. Joan had 13 great grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, H.A. (String) Stringfield, her father Basil Holcomb and her mother, Mary McKay Holcomb.

Due to current Covid restrictions only immediate family will attend a graveside service.

Should friends desire, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Stringfield family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
