Jimmie Lee Gardner Gray

Jimmie Lee Gardner Gray, age 87, passed away in her home on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Alamogordo, NM. She was born on January 19, 1936, to Lillie Mae Edwards and Jim Gardner in Stamford, TX. 

Jimmie's presence was a beacon of light that touched the hearts of many. She leaved behind a legacy of love and compassion, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She will be sorely missed!

Jimmie is survived by her youngest sister, Catherine Davis of Austin TX; her daughter, Gloria Marie Eberly of Alamogordo, NM; her granddaughter, Tameka Versean Eberly of Ontario, CA; great grandchildren, Tajahnae Alianna Hernandez of Henderson, NV, Maxmillian Christopher Gardner and Alexander Christopher Gardner both of Farmingham, MA; a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Mae Edwards and Jim Gardner of Stamford, TX; her grandson, Christopher Allen Gardner of Alamogordo, NM; Gloria's father, Louie Socrates Davis of Stamford, TX; her husband, Eugene Paxton Gray of Pomona, CA. Jimmie was number 7 of 12 siblings, those who preceded her in death are Delmas Ford of  Stamford, TX; Dorothy Johnson of Stamford, TX; Elua L Gardner of Stamford, TX; Delores J Williamson of Alamogordo, NM, Tommie Collins of Stamford, TX; Lillie Faye Gardner of Stamford, TX; Virginia Fletcher of Alamogordo, NM; Wendell Gardner of Stamford, TX; Edward Gardner of Stamford, TX; Thelma J Clay of Chicago, IL; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life for Jimmie Gray on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First St. in Alamogordo.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with Reverend Warren Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

A reception to celebrate Jimmie will be held following services at St Jude Parish Hall, 1404 College Ave. in Alamogordo.

The Gray family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
