Guadalupe Gallegos Obituary

Guadalupe Gallegos, 69, passed away on October 22, 2025, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born on December 7, 1955, in Jaltiche de Arriba, Aguascalientes, Mexico, to Angel Gallegos Perezchica and Socorro Soto Saucedo.

At the age of 15, Guadalupe came to the United States in search of a better life. From a young age, he was known for his passion, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. He spent much of his early adult life working in the restaurant industry, where his dedication and strong work ethic quickly stood out.

One of his proudest accomplishments was opening Chef Lupe’s Family Restaurant in Ruidoso in 1993, a beloved local spot he operated for 25 years. With the help of generous community members who lent him supplies to get started, Guadalupe built his dream from humble beginnings. He never forgot those who supported him in those early days and remained forever grateful for their kindness.

In 1991, Guadalupe married the love of his life, Luz María Gallegos, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Their partnership was one of strength, love, and shared dreams. Luz was his steadfast support through every challenge and success. They raised three children together Aaron, Diana, and Emmanuel. Guadalupe was also a proud father to his eldest daughter, Jamie. His children were his greatest joy and motivation in life, and he worked tirelessly to give them opportunities and strength to follow their own dreams.

Guadalupe was a true go-getter who thrived in the business world. After his success in the restaurant industry, he went on to build a real estate portfolio, renting and selling homes to families and individuals in need. His success came from his drive, integrity, and deep desire to help others.

Known for his strong opinions, sharp mind, and generous heart, Guadalupe was a hardworking and visionary man who wasn’t afraid to take risks in life. He inspired those around him through his resilience, courage, and love for his family.

Above all, Guadalupe loved being surrounded by his family. He was a proud grandfather to Aleah, Nathan, Isabella, Esiah, Steven, Anaziah, and Alaia who brought endless joy and light into his life. His family will forever remember his laughter, wisdom, and the countless memories he created with them.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents, Angel Gallegos Perezchica and Socorro Soto Saucedo, and his beloved sister, Maria Natividad Spreutels.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Luz María Gallegos; his children, Jamie, Aaron, Diana, and Emmanuel; and his cherished grandchildren, Aleah, Nathan, Isabella, Esiah, Steven, Anaziah, and Alaia. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply.

He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and the legacy of love and hard work he leaves behind.
