Geneva Cecilia Wooten

Geneva Cecilia Wooten, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023. Geneva was born on January 3, 1935, to George and Beatrice Carrillo in Tularosa, NM.

Geneva enjoyed dancing, volunteering at the Alamo Senior Center, singing, listening to Country and Spanish music, camping and spending time with her family and friends in the mountains.

Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, George and Beatrice Carrillo; husbands, Iren Fresquez and Richard Wooten; son, Tony Fresquez; brothers, Luis and Jacob Carrillo; sisters, Beatrice Silva and Sofia Carrillo.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Jacob Carrillo; her daughters, Marie Patterson (Billy) and Lydia Terry (Glenn); son, Dennis Fresquez (Cheryl); grandchildren, Robbie, Brian, Ray, Audrey, Alyssa; great grandchildren, Brianna, Serena, Tony, Ray, Ty; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. 

The Memorial Service for Geneva Wooten will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Dorsey officiating.

The Wooten family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
