Gary Robert Holland (Butch) passed away Saturday, June 05, 2021, at his home in Alamogordo, NM. He was born February 18, 1942, in Paris, Texas to Lorena Whitlock and Bud Holland.
He is survived by his children; Donald and Angie Holland, Joy and Bill Victory, Gary and Mark Holland, and John Lesperance (Mark Healy); grandchildren Krysten and Cody Hill, Joseph Ramos-Campanelli (Suzanna Gomez), Brandi Wright, Rylie Holland (Garrett McNatt), Austin Victory and Jason and Vivian Granado Victory; great-grandchildren Dylan and Haylee Hill, Landon and Brody Wright, Cayden Victory, Milah Campanelli, Bryton Victory and Ivy Victory; one remaining brother Alton and Linda Holland and numerous special nieces, nephews and in-laws. Some of his closest friends include John and Tessie Addington, Krickette Carter, Cal and Leanne McNatt and Steve and Teresa Valdez.
Butch was preceded in death by his wife (Connie), parents and in-laws, seven brothers and sisters, as well as many other loving family members.
Butch graduated from Cloudcroft High School in 1960. He married Connie May in Cloudcroft NM on December 14, 1963, and together they had three wonderful children.
During his lifetime, Butch served in the U.S. Airforce and worked as a Civil Engineer designing roads for 30 years for the National Forest Service. In 1975, Butch and Connie opened their restaurant (Holland's Lamplighter) and in 1982, C&B Enterprises, a mobile home business providing housing, maintenance and repair services and in 1993 he retired from the National Forest Service and opened a mobile home parts and supply store which is still in operation.
Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Uncle Butch will truly be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at the Alamogordo Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 2 p.m. Flowers may be delivered to the Alamogordo Funeral Home.
