Frederick G. Bundy, born February 9, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska entered the joy of the Lord on January 27, 2024. He was just shy of his 83rd birthday. He was husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and friend. He was a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of La Luz Bible Church where he served as a deacon.
Fred lived a very full life. He had many talents which he willingly shared with his family, friends and church. He had a unique sense of humor and simple lifestyle. Both of these he utilized to challenge and encourage others to follow God the heavenly Father through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
Fred will be dearly missed. We are saddened in his passing, but we rejoice that he is no longer suffering and is now in the presence of his Lord Jesus.
Fred was married to Barbara J. Bundy, his wife of 52 years. His children are Ruby Weatherly and husband Barry, Joanne Bundy and partner Carl, Laura Roy and husband Kevin, Eric Bundy and wife Cheryl, Allan Bell and wife Monette, and Patricia Anderson and husband Bill. He had one other son, Dwayne, who is deceased. He has one surviving sister, Ruth Schriner and husband Bert. He also has a surviving half-brother, Tim and 2 half-sisters, Linda and Patty, and a deceased half-sister, Marlene.
Fred had requested to be cremated. A memorial service has been scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 1:00 pm at La Luz Bible Church with Pastor Ron Tyson officiating.
Fred was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was retired on disability from Long Beach Naval Shipyard in Long Beach, CA. He has made his home in La Luz, NM since 1980. There he became a school bus driver for Stone Bus Company for 4 years. With his wife Barbara, owned and managed, Daisy A Day Floral Shoppe on Indian Wells Rd. for 17 years.
