Erma D (Smith) Manning

Erma D Manning, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on June 24, 2021 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born in Marshall, Texas to James and Dora Smith on October 25, 1929. 
 
She loved to garden, bake, spend time with her family, and admire and reminisce about her collectibles.
 
Erma is survived by 3 of her children, Gloria Benson, Dell Haynes and Odell Haynes all of Alamogordo, NM; 11 grandchildren, Curtis Benson of Albuquerque, NM, Patricia Benson of Muskegon Heights, MI,  Waylon (Troy) Benson, Kevin Benson, John Haynes, Tyrone Manning, and Edward Manning II all of Alamogordo, NM, Jamie Haynes of El Paso, TX, Larry Haynes of Las Cruces, NM, Michael Haynes of Albuquerque, NM, Alexis (Haynes) Black of Las Cruces, NM; sisters, nieces and nephews of East Texas; many great grandchildren and a bundle of great-great grandchildren. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dora Smith; brothers and sisters; 6 of her children, Velma Jean Haynes, Lily Mae Haynes, James Haynes,  Edward Manning, and two infant losses; one granddaughter, Jodie Haynes; one grandson, Christopher Haynes; and one great-grandson, Brandon Benson. 
 
There will not be a funeral service, cremation services have taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life exclusive to family later in August.
