Eldon L. Bond passed from this life on August 29, 2021 from heart failure. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge 1897 in Alamogordo, NM.
Eldon was proceeded in death by his father Vernon Bond, brother Jerry Bond and grandson Kyle Burkle. He is survived by his wife Palene Bond, his mother Jessie Olsen and brother Larry Bond both of Tucumcari, NM and a sister-in-law Leta Bond of Pueblo, CO. Eldon is also survived by three sons and three daughters: Keith and Monique Bond of T or C, NM; Keven and Tina Bond of Glendale, AZ; Patrick and Julie Bond of High Rolls, NM; Danna and Rick Burkle of Alamogordo, NM; Denice and Josh Norton of Grand Junction, CO; and Denell Eldridge of Gallup, NM; eleven grandchildren Jeremiah, Jessica, Britany, Candace, Steffanie, Kayla, Tanner, Dillon, Shane and Cheyenne; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eldon was born in Knowles, OK on July 26, 1938, grew up in Pueblo, CO and then moved to Alamogordo, NM in 1960. He worked 55 years at Holloman Air Force Base for Land-Air, Dynalectron, DynCorp, TRAX International, and NewTec before retiring in 2015. He was a charter member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, White Sands Local 2515, NM. Eldon was a proud member of the Elk’s and NRA. He will be missed by many including his brothers and sisters in Christ where he attended Church of Christ in Tularosa, NM.
