Douglas R. Stubblefield 92, peacefully went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2021. Douglas was born June 15, 1928 in Canutillo NM to Roy and Augusta Stubblefield. He was a Korean War vet, a farmer, and most importantly, a family man. He could build or fix just about anything. If he couldn’t fix it with his hands, then he could fix it with his humor. He was working on his tractor on the same day the Lord took him home. This is just one of many examples of how he worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest just about every day of his life.
Survivors include partner Joella Dunagan of Tularosa, NM; daughters, Sandra Stubblefield of Santa Fe NM, Lynne Hawkins of Tulsa OK, Susie Reynolds of Cibolo TX, and Marsha Stubblefield of Alto NM; grandchildren, Kimberly Woloshuk, Faith Nichols, Christopher Smith, Sherice Freeman, Celina Smith, William Hawkins, Nicole Hawkins Ortiz, Blain Jr. Reynolds, Taylor Smith, and Douglas Smith; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
