Douglas Oliver Cowley

Douglas (Doug) Oliver Cowley, 77, passed from this life on November 17, 2023. A resident of Alamogordo, NM, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend but most of all, he was a Christian.

Doug was born on April 27, 1946, in San Antonio, TX to Cecil and Hazel Cowley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest sister, Marlo (Cowley) Koceski. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy (Higginbotham) Cowley and four sons: Jack Douglas Cowley (wife, Dennisa Cowley); Ronald Scott Cowley; Robert Neil Cowley; and Terry Vince Cowley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, younger sister, Betty Cowley, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was a friend and gentleman to all and will be deeply missed.

Services for Doug Cowley will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First Street, Alamogordo, NM, 88310.

Viewing will be held at 10:00 am with the Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am.

The Cowley family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
