Dora G. Bristow, 92
June 5, 1928-January 15, 2021
This is the story of Dora, who was a remarkable woman who loved, is missed and will always be cherished. “Lita” as she was called from her daughter and granddaughter crossed over to the promised land of our king Jesus on January 15, 2021.
Dora was born on June 5, 1928 in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico to Felicitas Diaz and Antonio Gonzalez. She met her husband Donald Bristow in 1959 and moved to Alamogordo, NM that same year. She was a resident of Alamogordo her entire adult life as she became a well known citizen to many people who came to know her in her beloved New Mexican town.
The simple things in life made her most happy. She truly enjoyed cooking her authentic Mexican dishes for others and was always overjoyed every time anyone asked for seconds. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep yet positive way. She was indeed special to a lot of people.
Dora was a devoted mother to Olga G. Hernandez of Alamogordo, NM; grandmother to Monique Y. Cecava (Nathan D.) and great-grandmother to Zachary D. Cecava of San Antonio, TX, all of who are survived by her. “Lita”, will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
The Bristow family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
