DellaBeth (Morgan) Carney

DellaBeth (Morgan) Carney, age 63, passed away peacefully at home with her family beside her in Rio Rancho, NM on Friday, September 22, 2023. 

DellaBeth was born on February 21, 1960, to Tinsley and Patricia Morgan in Alamogordo, NM. After graduating from Alamogordo Senior High School in 1978, she went on to get her Associates in Police Science and in Arts.

In May of 1981, DellaBeth met Michael L. Carney. They were married in April 1982 and raised four children, Natalie, Heather, Autumn, and Brian. DellaBeth and Michael spent a beautiful life together. “41 years of marriage went by too fast”-Michael.

DellaBeth’s life revolved around her children. She gave them countless memories including homemade gingerbread trains, family trips to Carlsbad Caverns, elaborate birthday cakes, homemade Halloween costumes, and driving them to endless music lessons to name a few. Her children never doubted that she loved them more than life itself. 

DellaBeth was preceded in death by her first-born child, Natalie D. Bigler who passed in 2020. She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Carney; her children, Heather M. Clayton, Autumn R. Carr and Brian M. Carney; 10 grandchildren: Audrey, Ethan, Hannah, Emily (Bigler); Cael and Faye (Clayton); Amelia (Carr); Brinley, Scarlett and Tristan (Carney); siblings, Sandra L. Christensen, Paul K. Morgan, Dennis F. Morgan, and Raymond A. Norris Jr. 

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First St., Alamogordo, NM, 88310. Graveside Service will follow at 10:00 am at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo, NM.

The Carney family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
