Deborah Williams Obituary

Deborah Mae Williams, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Tularosa, NM.

Debbie was born on January 7, 1964, in Embudo, NM and raised in Tularosa where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and community. She worked for many years at HELSTF (White Sands Missile Range) as a meteorological technician, but the role she cherished most was being a Nana. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, taking in the beauty of nature, and cheering on her Dallas Cowboys. A devoted Cowboys fan, she believed wholeheartedly that every year was “their year”.

At the center of Debbie’s life were her grandchildren and the people she loved. She was truly one of a kind, the type of person who always put others before herself, even during the most difficult moments of her own life. Her door was always open, and she made sure that family and friends had a place to stay, a warm meal, and unwavering support whenever it was needed. Debbie will be remembered for her kind heart, contagious smile, and remarkable ability to make people laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Debbie’s life was also marked by extraordinary strength and resilience. Many would describe her as a miracle; strong, determined, and stubborn in the most admirable way. She received many blessings from our Lord, including the gift of precious additional time with her children and grandchildren. One of the greatest gifts she ever received was a kidney, lovingly donated by her sister Marlene. In gratitude, Debbie proudly advocated for the Donate Life campaign and encouraged everyone she met to become an organ donor. Although her time on earth feels far too short, she believed she fulfilled her purpose.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Josephine Gonzales; her brothers, Joseph and Jimmy Gonzales; her niece, Alaisa Gonzales. She is survived by her children: Desiree (Rob) Lonsinger, Danette (Sam) Blazer, Steven (Sabrina) Williams, Sean (Marissa) Williams; her grandchildren: Kameron, Addison, and Uziah Blazer, Samiyah Williams, Aaliyah and Audrina Gutierrez-Williams; her siblings: Joe Dan, Terry, Gary, Marlene, and Flora Gonzales, Charlene Chavez; her goddaughter, Lillyana Herrera; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
