David Davis of Alamogordo, New Mexico was called back to the Lord. He passed away at 58 years of age in his residence, surrounded by care providers and family. David succumbed to multiple myeloma cancer, after several years of treatment.
As an Army Brat, David spent copious hours stalking, hooking and landing fish from Alaska to Georgia and finally to our own Bonito Lake. A consummate fresh-water fisherman, there was not a single trout, bass, or catfish that didn’t zip away for cover, trembling at the sight of his Daiwa reel and rod! Upon completion of high school, David enlisted for short stint in the US Army and had the time of his life as a Military Policeman. Assigned to the European theater, he enjoyed all of the rewards of being a strapping young man, savoring all of the life’s joy. He spoke fondly of the beauty he found in Italy and his “hardship tour.”. Upon return to the states, David worked various construction jobs in the southwest until his health began it’s decline over the last two decades.
David is survived by his parents and his two siblings.
The Davis family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
