Darlene Virginia Oberling

Darlene Oberling went to be with her Lord on July 25, 2024, at her home in Albuquerque, NM.  She was a resident of Alamogordo for 49 years prior to her move to Albuquerque.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and music was her love, serving in both the choir and as choir director.  Some of her favorite times were traveling around the country with her husband building churches and missions for Laborers for Christ.

She is survived by her two children, Wes Oberling (Cindy) and Sandy Jameson (Dan); her brother, Jim Aden (Ruth) of Chicago, Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Oberling; parents, Wilbur and Adele Aden; sister, Janice Houston; granddaughter, Dulce Maria Oberling.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alamogordo.  Darlene requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association Chapter 698 or Trinity Lutheran Church.

The Oberling family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
