Daniel Winston Sanders

Daniel Winston Sanders went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2023.

He was born on August 8, 1943, in Mena, Arkansas to Vera Virginia (Mills) Sanders and Warren G. Sanders.  He was the oldest of three children, Kathleen Barnard of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Barbara Barnes of Delta, Colorado. 

Daniel started his life in highway construction, logging, and finally over the road truck driving.  He worked for companies at first and then developed his own company.  Daniel became a father of four children, Vernon Winston Sanders (deceased), Daniel Lee Sanders of China, Warren Don Sanders of Killan, Texas and Dareatha Sanders Ryhne of Paris, Texas. He had11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Daniel Winston Sanders is preceded in by his father, Warren G. Sanders; mother, Vera Virginia Sanders; and son, Vernon Winston Sanders.

His family and friends would like to thank everyone who helped Daniel and his family during the end of his life.

Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.

Mountain View Church will provide lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Monte Vista Cemetery with Pastor Rich Hernandez officiating.

The Sanders family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
