Clarita Gonzales Marrujo

Clarita Gonzales Marrujo, 95 years old, of Tularosa, New Mexico passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.  She is survived by her children, Esther Sainz of Truth or Consequences, NM, Charlie and Vivian Marrujo of Alamogordo, NM and Jeff and Janie Aragon of Tularosa, NM. 

Clarita was preceded in death by her husband, Frutoso Marrujo; her daughter, Bertha Marrujo; grandchildren, Amber Aragon and Daniel Salazar; parents, Anastacio Gonzales and Emma Gonzales Shields; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Clarita is also fondly remembered by her loving grandchildren, Mike and Connie Meyers of Gunter, Texas, Justin and (Ian) Marrujo, of Phoenix, Arizona, Levi Sainz of Seattle, Washington, Joseph and Kristi Bigas of Tularosa, Nathan and (Faith) Aragon of Ruidoso, NM, Manuel and Annette Garcia of Henderson, Nevada.  Clara is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Gavin Meyers, Kayleigh and Cobi Bigas, Alexis and (Sergio) Torres, Mariah Salazar; as well as her great-great grandchildren, Leyanni and Daniel Torres.

Pallbearers honoring Clarita include her grandsons. 

Clarita lived a bountiful life loving, caring, providing, and supporting those around her.  She was a one-of-a-kind individual who will be remembered by each person she met.  
 
Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Francis De Paul Catholic Church.

The Vigil with Rosary for Clarita Marrujo will be recited at 10:30 am, Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church with Father Patrick Montgomery, Celebrant.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The Marrujo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
