Clarence Dwight Bellard, known as “Bell”, was called by our heavenly Father on April 15, 2023, in Las Cruces, NM. Clarence Bellard was born on November 22, 1945, in Pineville, Louisiana to Alice Villair, Ozema Bellard, and Warren Andrus. He graduated from Ross High School then joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in 1991 after serving 24 years. During his time in the military, he worked security forces and transitioned to LRS and served in Vietnam. Clarence loved watching football and cheering on the Saints and LSU football teams. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make jokes and tell stories. He also enjoyed boxing, playing dominos with friends, and spending time with family. Clarence was the most loving and caring person you could ever meet, and he will be missed by many.
Clarence is preceded in death by his Parents, Alice V. and Warren Andrus, Ozema Bellard; siblings, Eloise Beverly, Josephine Ledet, Matthews Ledet Jr., Alfred Andrus, Michael Andrus, and Percy Andrus.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Patricia Nangauta Manalisay Bellard; children, Chika Layman, Chaka and Jason Clayton, Clarence Bellard and Theresa, Garett Manalisay and Tabitha Fuentas, Alicia Cruz and Bobby Phillips, Patrick Cruz; grandchildren, Daisha Layman, Richard Layman, Ayamani and Coleman Nelson, Kaja Proulx, Zaria Proulx, Kaelani and Ae’khyra Manalisay, Alysse Bellard, Leonna Bellard, Jovaghn Bellard, Amaya and Jesaiah Vosberg, Daisy Bellard, Clarence Bellard III, Luke Phillips, Ryan Clayton; five great grandchildren; siblings, Johnny and Rita Bellard (dec.) of Chesapeake VA, Houston and Aiisha Villair of Stockton, CA, Warren Andrus of Marshall, TX, Willie T (dec.) and Theresa Alexander of Crowley, LA, Walter Andrus of Crowley, LA, Tracy and Sonya Andrus of Marshall, TX; brother-in-law, John P. and Nora (dec.) Nangauta of Alamogordo, NM.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.
Rosary for Clarence Bellard will be recited at 10:30 am, Friday, May 5, 2023, at St. Jude Parish Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, May 5, 2023, at St. Jude Parish Catholic Church with Father Marcel Okonkwo, Celebrant.
Interment will follow services at St. Jude Parish Columbarium.
