Obituary
Cathy Daugherty, 67, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023, from lingering health issues. She was born on December 26, 1955, and spent her childhood in Warren County, North Carolina growing up on a farm in Manson. She was a 1974 graduate of Norlina High School. Cathy's life took her around the world where she ended up in Alamogordo, NM.
Cathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wallace and Lucy Holtzmann and by her dear sister, Vicki H Maciupa.
Survivors include her husband, Larry "Doc" Daugherty; her children, Frank Allen and wife Kami of Tularosa, NM and Carena Cory and husband Faron of Alamogordo, NM; four grandchildren, Casper Clancy of Tularosa, NM, Jeremiah and Annie Allen of Tularosa, NM and Makaila Cory of El Paso, TX; great grandchild, Everly Clancy of Tularosa, NM. Cathy also leaves behind three siblings, Terry Perkinson of Cary, NC, Lynn Stone of Manson, NC and Jim Tucker of Manson, NC; as well as numerous relatives in Warren County, NC.
Cathy was a straight shooter, she always told it like it was no matter what anyone thought. She was always true to what she believed in. Cathy was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
The Daugherty family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
