Carolyn M Casias, 88, of Alamogordo, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 02, 2022. Carolyn was born on March 18, 1934 in Del Norte, Colorado. Carolyn was the second born of Fidel and Virginia Gonzales. She grew up on a farm. Her and her brothers and sisters helped her parents with their family business while still attending school. Over time, she and her older sister owned and operated a store in the town of Del Norte for a few years.
Carolyn and her husband, Joe, married in the winter of 1965 in Del Norte, Colorado. They were inseparable. They traveled, worked and prayed together. She loved crocheting, making jewelry and rosaries, quilting, and would try many different crafts. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She always made sure that they learned their prayers. Carolyn was an awesome hostess, greeting strangers as well as her friends. If you needed to talk, she has a lending ear. She and her husband lived in several places due to the type of work they did together. In Colorado, they lived in Olathe, Joes, Hotchkiss, Montrose, Crested Butte, Monte Vista, South Fork, and Del Norte. In Arizona, they lived in Ehrenberg, Aguila, Mesa, and Chandler. In New Mexico they lived in Gallup and Alamogordo, of which she lived for the past 12 years.
She is survived by her husband Joe, her children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, several nieces, and God children.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, newborn son Gary and great grandbaby Jonah.

Mom, you will be terribly missed, as we all loved you so much and had a strong bond with you. We will always keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We will laugh and cry as each one of us remember you and all the memories that we have created. Until we meet again at the golden gates of Heaven. We will miss you, but have to let you go. We love you mom.
