Bobbie Manning Obituary
Bobbie Lois (Tootsie) Manning, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went to be with the Lord, Sunday June 25, 2023. Bobbie was born on April 28, 1942, to Cleven Smith and Mae Effie Schooler in Tatum, Texas, where she accepted the Lord at a young age and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church. Bobbie loved to spend time with family and friends, quilting, puzzles, puzzle books, cooking, baking (especially Banana Pudding), and watching the Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars (OES), PHA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. Manning; brother, John L. Smith; sisters, Paulette Peterson and Sherva Johnson; son, Kennith Ray Bryant; and nephew, Johnnie Ward III.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lottie M. Fitzgerald (San Antonio, TX), Elainia Bryant (Alamogordo, NM), Retonja Bryant (San Antonio, TX); sons, Jeffrey W. Bryant (Alamogordo, NM), Donnell J. Bryant (Deena) (Alamogordo, NM); brother: C.F. Smith (Sarah) (Alamogordo, NM); sister, Lois A. Ward (San Antonio, TX); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation and viewing will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Friday, June 30, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Tyshon Carter, Michael Whitmire, Desmond Bryant, Rodney Scharmack, LaDanian T. Ward, Tobey Kerlin, Donnell D. Bryant, and Nathan Hargrafen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnnie Ward, Jr., Aaron Populo, Jason Kerlin, and Dylan Kerlin.
