Benedict Albert Wooten

Benedict Albert Wooten went to be with our Lord on August 28, 2021. He was born in Alamogordo on May 16, 1955 to Carmen and Richard Wooten Sr. and raised in Tularosa. He raised his family with his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Wooten, in Albuquerque. 

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; their 3 daughters and their husbands, Sabrina and Leonard Cordova, Prescilla and Jose Gonzales, and Gabriela and Chris Lobb; his 7 grandchildren, Alaura, Aiden, Destiny, Alesondra, Natalie, Lucas, and Chase; his brothers, Richard and his wife Terri, Joseph Wooten and Patrick Wooten, as well as multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel.

Rosary will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in Tularosa with Mass to follow at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Tularosa.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in his name. 

The Wooten family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
