Angelita Walters

Angelita Walters, 91, was called home to our Lord Saturday, June 1, 2024.  Angelita passed away peacefully at her home in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Angelita, also known as Angie or Lita, was born October 2, 1932, in Alamogordo, NM to Dan and Anita (Guerra) Johnson.  

Survivors include her four sons, Bill Walters (Susan) of Alamogordo, NM, Ron Walters (Lisa) of Phoenix, Az., Edward Walters of Las Cruces, Arthur Walters (Annette) of McKinney, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Gonzales (Javier) of Las Cruces; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  

Grandma Angie had an overflowing abundance of love for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Angelita was dearly loved by family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Angelita is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Pete D. Walters.  

Rosary and Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, June 14, 2024, starting at 10:30am. Inurnment will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Jude Mission Columbarium.  

The Walters family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
