Alfred Trujillo, age 81, of Ruidoso and Tularosa, NM, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Lubbock, TX.
He was born on August 16, 1944, in Carrizozo, NM, to Candelario and Mary (Guebara) Trujillo. Alfred grew up in Capitan, NM and lived the majority of his life in Ruidoso, NM while also residing in Tularosa, NM. He attended New Mexico State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
Alfred was known for his strong work ethic and his vast circle of friends, extended family, and acquaintances. He was most proud of his immediate family and the support he received from those around him during his time of need as his health declined.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Ellen Trujillo; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Andra (Kalama Davis) and Freda Trujillo (Eric Marta); his son, Alfred Allen Trujillo; his two grandsons, James Stewart and Aaron Hagler; four great grandchildren from James Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Ernest and Fernando Trujillo; his sister, Cecilia Ortega.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Calvary Chapel in Ruidoso, NM.
The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Mechem Drive in Ruidoso, NM.
Dinner will be provided for all attendees at Calvary Church immediately after the burial ceremony.
Pallbearers include Marchall Prudencio, Eddie Sedillo, Fernando Ray Trujillo, Casey Vega, Kenny Vega Jr., and Jesse Vinson.
The Trujillo family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
